When it comes to advertising offline, you can spend a lot of money on things such as newspaper ads or radio advertising. I am going to discuss some of the lower cost methods out there.
Business Cards – Business cards are a must when you are in business. Depending on where you buy them, the cost per card is very low. Hand them out to everyone.
Flyers – Your Company may provide you flyers that you can add your contact information to or you may need to create them yourself. Print a bunch or go to your local office supply store and get a bunch printed and then hand them out, post them in places, or just leave them laying around.
Trade Shows – These can be a good place to get business. You likely will have to pay an admission charge that varies depending on the organizer. You may also have to contribute a prize for a raffle, door prize, or other reason. I will be discussing trade shows in more depth in a few weeks.
Ads – You can purchase an ad in your local paper to advertise yourself. I have heard mixed things about these ads, but if you have the budget for it, it may be worth giving it a try.
Car Advertising – You can buy decals to put on your car with your information or website. Prices vary to get these but I have heard of people getting calls while they are driving from the person behind them who has been looking for a rep. Make sure you get a headset to use with your phone!
